Mnet's MONSTAR is a production by director Kim Wonsuk and is about teenagers who grow and heal their pains through music. The 12 episode music drama MONSTAR will show how the characters grow their love and friendships, and their dreams through music.
Yong Junhyung plays the main character 'Yoon Seolchan' who has been hurt deeply but doesn't portray his emotions. He is the main vocal of Korea's greatest boyband 'Men in Black'. Because of his raging temper he causes trouble and is forced to go back to school and live the life as a model student. There he joins the school band and is faced with unexpected situations. PD Yoon Hyunki said "As an idol singer who has skills in lyric and song writing, he has many characteristics that are similar to the character he is playing so he is naturally focusing on acting. It's his first time as the main character of a drama but with natural acting you'll be able to meet charms that you have not seen before" and "He has shown great interest in acting before so he is pouring out that much more passion into this. You can anticipate it."
MONSTAR will start filming in February and will air April 6th.

Prepix released a ‘Behind Story -Dance” video for Yoseob‘s new solo album.
On the 27th (KST), Prepix tweeted, “Yoseob’s behind talk – dance- This is a fanservice video that we made through Yoseob’s idea~~~“. The revealed video showed Yoseob, Prepix, and Junhyung where they sit down and talk about the new album. Yoseob opened the video by thanking fans for the high rankings on the charts for “Caffeine“, saying “I think the chart shows how much love we’re getting through numbers“.
The trio talked about Yoseob’s new choreography, addressing questions of some viewers who wondered how Yoseob was going to dance to such a mild song, and showed flashes of hints of the choreography. Prepix revealed that the choreography had incorporated both broadcast and concert-like moods, expressing that Yoseob’s stage would be full even in a large setting. Prepix also talked about the difficulties he had setting the dance for “Caffeine”, because it was not a fun dance track and instead a more serious song. Prepix explained a point in the choreography, where he said, “You wouldn’t know unless I said it, but there’s a part in the chorus where the arm hits upward for a second.”
Yoseob then talked about the kiss scene in his music video, saying, “The teaser was a big deal because it had my first kiss scene. Hehe. Doojoon had one, and Junhyung had one in.. Fiction, right?“. Junhyung responded, “You set fire to the fans’ hearts“. Yoseob laughed and said, “Fans said, I didn’t think Yoseob would do this. I think they felt a little bit of betrayal.”
Prepix interrupted and said, “It was Yoseob’s idea, right?“, to which Junhyung replied right away, “Yes“, and Yoseob denied vehemently. Junhyung and Prepix both proceeded to tell the story of how Yoseob had requested for a kiss scene. Junhyung said, “Originally, there wasn’t supposed to be a female protagonist“, to which Prepix added, “Right, it was supposed to be the two of you“.
When Yoseob told his fans not to be jealous, Prepix said, “The teaser had the kiss scene in it?“, to which Yoseob said, “It wasn’t a kiss, just a light touch of the lips..“, and Prepix joked, “Ah, so the real kiss scene was edited out?” causing all three to break into laughter. B2ST’s Yoseob releases 1st solo album ‘The First Collage‘
FINALLY!
B2ST member Yoseob‘s official solo debut has finally arrived. A short while ago, the talented singer released his much anticipated album, ‘The First Collage‘!
As mentioned earlier, his solo album contains five songs including: “Look At Me Now“, “Caffeine“(title track), “Just Do As You Always Did“, “Even Then, I“, and “You Don’t Know“. The album is said to have been produced by fellow B2ST member Junhyung.
Cube Entertainment has confirmed that Yoseob will releasing his first solo mini album on the 26th with tracks produced by his fellow member Junhyung. This solo mini album produced by JunHyung. The new mini album was produced with the help of Junhyung, explaining why he had the tracks for the upcoming album.
“I’ve recognized and trusted Junhyung to be a producer. He’s someone for the world to watch,” Hong Seung Song, the company’s CEO, stated.
